WHAT WE LOVE

Wailea will absolutely take your breath away. This is our favorite spot on the island to go beach hopping, explore world-class resorts, and stroll along the incredible oceanfront walkway.

You'll enjoy some of the Hawaii's best beaches with an incredible variety of scenery. Wailea is our favorite place on the island, and we know you'll love it, too.

Check out some of the world's most beautiful resorts, order a round of tropical cocktails, grab some seafood appetizers, or simply sneak a peak at some luxury living.

Wailea's amazing pedestrian walkway is a great place to enjoy the view, take lots of photos, and simply enjoy the best that Maui has to offer.

ONE OF THE BEST BEACHES IN MAUI

WAILEA BEACH

Wailea Beach is the closest you'll get to beach perfection, and if you don’t mind a resort vibe (and a crowd to go with it) this is a truly outstanding beach. The beach is wide, the sand is perfect, and the ocean is inviting.

Wailea Beach Path is a stunning pedestrian walkway with some of the most beautiful views of the island. We love walking through the 1.5 mile path, meandering through world-class resorts, and taking photos along this lush landscape.

GO RESORT HOPPING

AND ENJOY THE INCREDIBLE BEACH WALKWAY

When walking along Wailea's pedestrian walkway – we always like to order a round of tropical drinks at one of the beautiful seaside resorts. Feel free to use any of the resort's bathrooms, outdoor bars, or restaurants.

BEAUTIFUL, WIDE, AND UNDEVELOPED

BIG BEACH (AKA MAKENA BEACH)

This is one of those beaches you dream of. Big Beach is well over a half a mile long, and is also uncharacteristically wide by Maui standards. That means loads of real estate to stake out your claim, and this beach, while always drawing lots of people – never feels crowded or packed.

Although this beach is an absolute must-see, Big Beach has a significant on-shore break that can be powerful when there is a large south swell. The large waves make it difficult for small children or inexperienced swimmers to swim in, so be careful!

THE SECRET COVE

PA'AKO BEACH

This intimate spot is surrounded by lava rock and tropical trees – making it a great place to spend half an hour, take some gorgeous photos, and listen to the Hawaiian surf.
