WHAT WE LOVE

An unassuming hub of the North Shore community, Paia Town has great restaurants, interesting shops, and a plethora of natural food options. This town is the perfect place to stop before or after your Road to Hana adventure.

Lots of artisan shops with local crafts – Paia is a great place to shop and take home an authentic piece of Hawaiian art.

You really can’t go wrong just wandering into virtually any restaurant here. Paia Fish Market is casual, affordable, and of course delicious.

A stroll through Paia can have you brushing by old-school hippies, professional surfers, new-age mamas, and lots of locals.

THE BEST NEARBY BEACH

BABY BEACH, SPRECKLESVILLE AREA

NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH BABY BEACH IN LAHAINA

Baby Beach is a beautiful beach and protected lagoon just before Paia on the North Shore of Maui. An exposed stretch of reef creates a calm lagoon protected from the ocean. It’s a great place to swim laps, explore, or just and hang out on the beach soaking in the scenery.

COFFEE WITH A JUNGLE VIBE

PAIA BAY COFFEE

Hidden in the heart of Paia Town is ‘Paia Bay Coffee. Set in a lush tropical garden, this coffee shop/bar/restaurant is popular with local artists, surfers, coffee lovers and visitors who know the rewards of finding that ‘hidden gem’. Consistently rated one of the best breakfasts on Maui.

AMAZING FISH PLATES

PAIA FISH MARKET

Delicious, non-pretentious seafood doesn’t get better than this. Paia Fish Market is a casual stop with a nautical theme & indoor picnic tables for seafood, plate lunches & fish burgers.

MAUI DARMA CENTER

We always like taking a quick stop at the Maui Dharma Center to take photos of this unique little Buddhist temple. Walk inside and be sure to the ring the bell!

BIG WAVE SURFERS

HO'OKIPA LOOKOUT

Ho’okipa Beach is a world-renowned windsurfing destination with often dramatic and impressive surf for sightseers as well. Just a 10 minute drive from Paia Town, the Ho'Okipa Lookout is a great stop to check out massive waves with some of the world’s best surfers.

THE ROAD TO HANA

The Road to Hana is a great stop after Paia. Expect to spend at least half a day exploring exploring waterfalls, lava caves, black sand beaches, swimming in fresh water pools, and just plain having fun.
